	Young Adult Festival at General Convention 2012 July 5-10, 2012 in Indianapolis, IN Early registration ends April 15
	The Young Adult Festival at General Convention is an opportunity for 18-30 year olds to see and experience the workings of General Convention. With worship, fellowship, workshops, some shared meals, and housing, the festival makes attending and engaging General Convention easy and fruitful. This year's event will offer opportunities for both Rookies and experienced Advocates to make great use of their time in the company of other young adults from across the church. There will also be offerings for leaders, bishops and deputies to interact and learn from participants about ways to engage young adults in the future and the present of the church. The cost of participation is $275 for a double, $425 for a single and $100 for commuters. This covers 5 nights of hotel, 5 breakfasts, 2 receptions, 1 celebration dinner, visitor access to GC, workshops, worship and all other programming. 	Advocacy Opportunities This year at the young adult festival, participants have the opportunity to apply to work with the following organizations to engage in advocacy during the Young Adult Festival such as attending closed meetings, receiving mentoring from leaders in the organization, helping staff the booth for the organization, tracking and advocating for legislation, learning more about the organization, and networking with its leadership. Some organizations are offering full or partial scholarships for selected participants (see below). You may apply for more than one organization, however you will only be partnered with a single organization. Applicants must submit their information by April 1. They will be notified no later than May 1.
	Episcopal Church Women
	2 placements with full registration scholarships Centered in congregations, the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) empowers women to do Christ’s ministry in the world. We aspire to be a Godspark-shining and sharing the love of Christ. We work through a triennial gathering coinciding with General Convention and are responsible for the United Thank Offering and its granting programs.
	Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers
	1-3 placements with full registration scholarships Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers is the help and resource desk for the 105 Episcopal camps, retreat centers, conference centers and summer programs of the Episcopal Church. We are also advocates for camp and retreat ministry in the bigger church and secular camp organizations, like American Camp Association (ACA). With us, volunteers would help with the Booth at designated rush times, attend committee sessions where you may speak to support a resolution or two, and assist with coordination of ECCC main events on Sunday, July 8th.
	Anglican Women's Empowerment
	2 placements with full registration scholarships Anglican Women’s Empowerment is a nonprofit charitable organization working for gender justice and the empowerment of women and girls in the church and the world. Currently we are focused on women and peace building, ending violence against women including human trafficking, and women’s economic empowerment—particularly in Africa. Those working with us will help us follow legislation, interact with leaders across the church and engage in education and publicity efforts including distributing materials and talking to deputies.
	Episcopal Health Ministries
	1-3 placements (scholarships TBD) Health ministry in a local congregation is an intentional ministry focusing on both healing and health, combining the ancient traditions of the Christian community and the knowledge and tools of modern health care. Episcopal Health Ministries encourages whole-person health through: integration of body, mind and spirit, increased self-knowledge, personal responsibility, and interdependence among God's people.
	Integrity
	1 placement with full registration scholarship Integrity is a nonprofit organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender [LGBT] Episcopalians and our straight friends. Since our founding in 1974, Integrity has been the leading grassroots voice for the full inclusion of LGBT persons in the Episcopal Church and our equal access to its rites. You can expect to rub shoulders with the leadership of the movement, learn how Integrity works for change, and be part of the nerve center of one of the Church’s most influential and effective advocacy organizations.
	Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation
	1-3 placements (scholarships TBD) Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation (EGR) is a Christ-centered, grassroots national organization seeking to build an effective and dynamic movement to heed the call within the Episcopal Church to alleviate extreme global poverty through the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and build a fairer economy. EGR calls for sustained prayer, study, action and advocacy.
	Episcopal Relief and Development
	1-3 placements (scholarships TBD) Working in partnership with the worldwide Church, ecumenical agencies and local organizations, Episcopal Relief and Development saves lives and strengthens communities around the world. Our programs work toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals, which aim to cut extreme poverty in half by 2015.
	American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem
	1-3 placements (scholarships TBD) As a non-political, independent nonprofit, American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem acts as a partner with the Diocese of Jerusalem by helping to increase its capacity to teach and heal. AFEDJ promotes and raises program and infrastructure funds for humanitarian work of the Diocese of Jerusalem and its institutions so it may better serve the needs of all people in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Israel. AFEDJ is devoted to equity, respect and human dignity.
