Jane Tomaine is an Episcopal priest, author and retreat leader. Following a career with AT&T she left corporate life, earning both Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from the Theological School of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. As a part of her doctoral program she introduced the Rule of Benedict to her parish, St. Peter's in Livingston, New Jersey, where she was rector, through a parish-wide study, liturgical, and renewal program.
During this program she wrote a book on the Rule of Benedict for her parish, St. Benedict’s Toolbox: The Nuts and Bolts of Everyday Benedictine Living, available through Morehouse Publishing and Amazon.com. Jane currently teaches courses and leads workshops and retreats on the Rule and Benedictine spirituality at parishes, monasteries and retreat centers, and at the Newark School of Theology. Jane lives

The Rt. Rev. Diane Jardine Bruce is the first (currently the only) Daughter of the King to be consecrated a Bishop in the Episcopal Church. We are proud and delighted that Bishop Diane has agreed to serve as Province VIII Chaplain during this Triennium.
To open our Retreat on Friday evening, Bishop Diane will lead a Taizé service for Daughters in the beautiful chapel at Mercy Center, which is well known throughout the Bay Area for their First Friday Taizé Services. Our Chaplain plans to call on musician friends and Daughters from San Francisco and the surrounding area, where she was living when she responded to the call to ordained ministry.
