The Rev. L. Ann Hallisey, Northern California priest and organizational consultant, named CDSP Dean of Students

BERKELEY, Calif., Aug. 15, 2011 – The Rev. L. Ann Hallisey of Davis, Calif., is the new dean of students at Church Divinity School of the Pacific, the Very Rev. Dr. W. Mark Richardson, president and dean, announced.

Hallisey returns to serve the Berkeley, Calif. seminary where she earned her Doctor of Ministry degree.

In her 28 years of ordained ministry, Hallisey has served as rector and interim in congregations and has developed an independent practice as an organizational and leadership consultant. She is a spiritual director and retreat leader, and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She is currently working toward certification as a Master Practitioner in Appreciative Inquiry.

Hallisey is married to the Right Rev. Barry Beisner, Bishop of Northern California.

Called To Serve! Meet the class of 2011!

In these pages Download Called_to_Serve_2011you will be introduced to many of the members of the Class of 2011 from Church Divinity School of the Pacific.  These snapshots of the students contain a picture, contact information, a personal narrative statement and an abbreviated resume.  

As you will discover these men and women possess a variety of gifts and experiences that make them well qualified for ministry in the 21st century.   They are already strong leaders and are eager to continue their journeys wherever the Holy Spirit will lead them.  Some have been ordained to the diaconate and anticipate ordination to the priesthood in the spring or summer, others will be ordained deacons in the coming months, while others are either still in an ordination process or seek lay ministry opportunities.

CDSP and her faculty and staff have not been alone in preparing these individuals for ministry.  Parishes

CDSP appoints Dianne Audrick Smith to be the Director of Recruitment

The Rev. Michelle Meech, the director of the Center for Anglican Learning & Leadership (CALL), is delighted to announce CALL’s fall line-up of online courses. The selections range from courses in Anglican liturgy and Christian history, to compelling and current themes in theological and biblical studies.  New offerings include classes in spiritual guidance, sustainable food practices and dreamwork.
